The seller could have spent $1000 to restore it and sell it for $10k instead he took $2, 000

The original owner was basically Robbed

Man that seller was so calm and didn't bother negotiating, glad Corey gave him an extra thousand.

No, Corey. The Stratocaster wasn't Fender's first "solid body" guitar, that would be the Esquire in 1950. Also, the Stratocaster (1954) came *after* the Precision Bass which was released 3 years earlier, in 1951.

Pretty amazing that Corey maintained the same level of hammeredness from one day to the next.

The older Corey gets the more he sounds and looks like his dad Rick.

I love when Corey tries to tell the story of Fender confidently, yet, beside a faint clue, he has no idea what the heck he's talking about... Nice Fiesta Red slab board P-bass there...

Wow Cory is looking and sounding rough these days. He looks older than his dad

Contrary to the story told at the introduction of this instrument, I do believe the P-Bass came first, not the Strat. It started as a bass that was like a double-cut Tele, starting with the 51 P-Bass, and then the double cut bass went to influence the Stratocaster's double-cut nature, with the release of the Strat in 1954. Which, to Corey's credit, is not the same P-Bass as when it was first released, newer P-Bass FEATURES were influenced by the Stratocaster, such as but not limited to a headstock from the Stratocaster that actually was influenced by Bigsby headstocks.

the way he put the case on the table, opened, and almost fumbled the guitar pulling it out has me on the edge of my seat

I bought a 1965 Martin D-28, in excellent condition, from Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar a couple years ago for around $7000 - it’s awesome

Haven't watched in a while. Hoss looks and sounds exactly like his dad with about 35% of the energy.
Love it.

3:38 Corey : "did you rebuild an entire ? "
Restorers : "We used Windex & lemon Pledge, a few rags. It's called cleaning . "

Ok so I'm not the only one that thinks that Cory sounds like he's completely zooted during this.

I think it's time for an intervention here...

Finally an instrument expert who actually knows his stuff

The fact that they refinished the headstock and placed a replacement decal right off the bat knocks this down from 12k to the 6-7k range.

Corey sounding like he on a Xanax and whiskey mixer. He turning into Rick, especially the voice.

0:29-0:39, seems Corey’s got the timeline mixed up. The Precision Bass came out in 1951, 3 years before the Stratocaster’s debut in 1954. Thus it was actually the P Bass that at least in part may have influenced the design of the Strat.
