I have got to say that these videos are beyond helpful for me. I am currently taking my bachelor's in network systems administration along with studying for my ccna. It's a breath of fresh air seeing real-world scenarios/problems instead of seeing everything on paper. Keep making these videos, god bless🙌

LinkRunner great for IDing the ports on the upstream switch, part of the network toolbox.

Quick question. Is a point to point interface type the same as trunk on other vendors? Possibly whomever set up the printer did one of two things. 1.) It’s connected with a printer cable to the PC to print, or 2.) Gave it a static IP address in the same VLAN as the PC and either added it to a print server with that IP address, or directly connected the PC to it with that static IP address. Because, I’m doubting it could have gone that long without a user not letting someone know the printer doesn’t work. Haha.

Did you go to the Extreme Connect conference in Dallas?

I would have tried to order an install of a couple of new network outlets to that booth. That is one of my projects for the time being. Remove the dumb unmanaged switches in the network put in prior to me being in charge. And also to put all printers in a dedicated vlan.

In regards to mini switches, what is it that you would like to manage on them? I have a small tp-li k here at home. They market it as "smart managed". It has a web management interface where you can configure things like vlans, loop protection, qos. I'm sure some others that I don't remember. Maybe something like this could fit your needs.

Why did you have to put the switch on BDPU point-to-point? Wouldn't disabling BPDU guard on that port be enough to not put it in the down state?

Will you guys ever use fabric outside of the core?

just one question, why wasn't it documented as to the port number and switch / switch port it was connected to?
if it isn't on the list, it shouldn't have network access. all hail the master spread sheet, the knower of all connected things.

Audiology is the worst here, cause software, for te equipment is garbage, alot of memory leaks, app crashes, lots of complaints, doctors are pissed, manufacturer does not release better software... so it is a big problem for us, netowkr wise, it is very low maintenance
