She also survived a plane crash in 1949 that killed 35 out of 48 passengers and crew. She nearly had her foot amputated as a result and was told that she wouldn’t be able to dance again. She proved them wrong and after some healing and exercise she continued dancing

Not only does she look amazing for her age, but I read that she still teaches dance to this day! What an awesome woman!

I'm 58 & still admit this is 1 of my all time favourite films. I was lucky as a kid in the 70s when as a Christmas treat a local cinema had a weekend of showing the film, so my 1st viewing was on the big screen + i loved it, of course!

I met all of the at the Wizard of Oz Festival in Chesterton Indiana they were all so sweet :) Jerry and his wife are beyond precious and were so kind. They remember everyone who sees them more than once. And Judy’s stand in told me to not shrink her size for a photo because I was beautiful just as I am and that stays with me forever

That's gotta be so sad being the last of the crew. Reminds me over the years seeing the last of the vets from ww2. There's very few left at this point.
