Did the wittle resellers go to far exploiting basic dunks and now everybody okay w wearing anything? Good job guys thanks for making puma and reebok wearable simply bc we couldn’t get what we wanted. Now ppl can wear whatever they want if it matches the fit and it’s all thanks to the resellers!

Sneakers will always have place for shoe culture, but resale value its definitely declining.

Honestly I think Nike’s biggest problem is the quality and their next biggest problem is simply not giving people what they want. To me personally while I own a majority of Nike and Jordan products. New Balance strikes the best balance of quality for price and giving people things they want for the most part.

This gone sound mad, but honestly for me the moment Ye exited the sneaker game, it was dead for me. I been a sneaker head since I was a kid in the 90s, the game was boring with the same shit until we got Yeezys the pandemic brought in some new fans but, we now back to the pre Yeezy days.

Everything else clapped out

Resale is dead but the sneaker hype is still there they still sell out if that makes sense. It’s simply if people miss out they aren’t really paying resale anymore they’ll just get something else

The only sneakers I wear on the daily are Xero Shoes.

I do have Jordan retros that I wear 1x/week on my days off from work.

Reselling is dying. Which is amazing. Now it’s back to how it use to be mid-late 90s .. OG jordans .. when you could go to mall at 1 pm and get some Jordans

It’s so weird, in Europe, it was Adidas all your life and if you had some Jordans, especially pre digital age; you were soooo different & extra cool

I love NB too but unfortunately all the resellers moved over too and made everything impossible to get once again

The industry is dead without Yeezy, Ye bring it back.

I was late to the Yeezy train and started getting into them due to their comfort and channels like yours. Been back riding the Jordan train but they just are not nearly as comfortable. Deff going to check out some NBs see what thry got to offer. Mad respect as always!!

Back in the 80s and early 90s, I mainly wore mid level Nike. Had a pair of Air Trainer SC (Bo Jackson's) and a pair or 2 of Reebok Pumps. While in the Army, I bought my first pair of Jordan Black Metallic V Retros in 2000. Then around 2008, I started getting into the shoe game. By 2014, I was done!

Jordan retros became crazy expensive but the quality started to become garbage. I will say that resellers killed it the most. It's one thing that Nike started raising their prices and making changes to Retros but the scallectors got greedy. C'mon ...dunks and Jordan 1s selling for $10k+....GTFOH. People using bots to buy out full runs to make them more "rare". Yeah, not cool Now, I sport Huaraches and non Retro Jordans. They look good and comfy.

See the thing about shoes is that you kinda need an outfit so buying shoes and not having a good outfit with it makes u spend more

I think sneakers in the same way i think of NFT, supreme and all the other trends in the last years. Yes of course there are a bunch of OG and passionate people but the majority, the ones that casued the bubble to increase and get bigger, are all the people that couldn't care less about the item itself casue they just view it as a way to make HUGE profit.
Of course there's nothing wrong with it, I am the first that sold some shoes to make some money but there some differences between one that gets a W once a year and one that cops mutiple shoes each drop thanks to bots.
IMO with the death of Virgil Abloh, the adidas/yeezy situation and the 12359^2 shoes from Travis Scott we lost what kept the hype and most important the curiosity around the shoes, nowadays we still have collaboration, retro and new colorways but everything looks like a reskin, a blatant copy of what already exist.
Yes maybe with brands like NB, Asics, Puma etc it's a different story but when it comes to Adidas and Nike i can't name a new model that hit the market and leaved its mark (maybe the AE1 but it's a ball shoes and not really a lifestyle one).

Like in 2018 we got shoes from THE TEN collection, waverunners, travis jordan 4... now what we got ? Adidas samba ? Jordan retro ? The sixth or seventh (i don't even know anymore) jordan 1 low by travis ?

Anyway keep going JA, you're awesome

In a way, yeah. Sneakers are slowing down and its never been more evident now. Wear what you want and dont care abour the hype, cuz there isnt much hype left anyways
