Garmin won’t like this! Drivemode Dashboard 2023.

How do you like to navigate? There's paper maps, turn by turn Garmin devices and there is Drivemode dashboard 2. Which one is the best?
It all depends on your own preferences, and for you to decide I have made this video showing what I use.

Note, the OBD dongle is a standard 16 pin connector. You need an adapter cable from 16 pin to what ever connector your bike has. The Tenere 700 has a 4 pin connector for the older models and 6 pin connector for the newer, so make sure you check what you have.

Oh boy! The quality of production and content itself is immaculate Robert. I actually came to compare my experience watching this video to the likes of FortNine. That’s high praise, but you deserve it🙌🏼

This is gold! I have questioned for years why Garmin has never included connection to OBD and controllers like they have with their BMW branded navigators.

This guy is living his best life! All the effort put in behind the scenes since so many years are paying off! Thanks for sharing so much knowledge! Keep it up! Hope to cross paths when I finally buy myself an adv!

Been using it for about 4 years and 50k miles at this point. Better than anything else, especially for offroad.

What steered me here is I recently learned that itchy boots is using this system for her North Africa travels. Love love love the intro! Even better I learned so much. It's the trickle-down effect. Thanks for that 👍🇸🇪🇺🇸

I am a fan of this system but I got a unit with some hardware problems. You find out about a company when there are problems. I'm genuinely pleased to report that my first problem was fixed quickly. My biggest problem was sending the unit back as I live in Brexitainia. I had to send it back a second time and the Czech company said they'd send me a new one as I really didn't trust the device anymore. I'm happy to say this company, both in Portugal and Czech Republic are decent and honourable. They're also pretty responsive when there is a problem so my takeaway is this. A good system from a decent company. I had a bit of a crappy unit and the backup was honest and honourable.

Robert! I can't find words (strangely enough), you outdo yourself time and time again. Yes, as I said, I am speechless! Keep doing what you are doing, because you are doing very well.

This is navigation taken to a new level! And also, you get all info of your bike directly on your phone/tablet!

For many years, I used a Ule ruggedized mobile just for navigation on motorcycles. It worked well with predownloaded maps, IP68. Connected to my motorcycle battery. But it was just a ruggedized mobile. Washelpfull, till it fell off from the RAM mount, and realize only when I stopped. This seems great product to have. I have picked up a Tomtom and have been using it ever since.

Great intro, Robert, and I hope it gives Garmin a wake-up call. That being said, I also have My Route App, which is also up there with the latest developments. I will, however, carry on with my 'old fashion' XT because all I really need is a map and direction to follow. The rest with all the buttons could be too distracting from enjoying the ride and views. Very interesting, though, and thank you for a great presentation.

I have to say it was the tablet on the PR7 that I thought was a stand out feature, and the future of adventure bike dashboards.

Kul att se att de händer något på denna marknaden! Har haft min garmin i många år och den har funkat rätt kass med tanke på vad dem och kartorna kostar. Ska kolla in denna!

Fantastic video Robert! Hilarious and informative. In Canada Garmin GPS’s are completely useless if you decide to ride off the pavement. I use my Garmin Fenix 7x Saphire watch to navigate off road as it it is much more detailed and way more reliable.
Keep the videos coming!

Great video ! Finally got me an Android phone, been in the Apple univers for years :-) Installed the DMD2 now and testing. Also great news is that I will be able to control everything by my BMW wonderwheel when integration with WunderlinQ is finished :-)

For the past 18 years, I did all of my motorcycle travel navigation with paper maps... I recently purchased a new PR7 with a tablet and DMD2 included. I am not very tech-savvy, so I guess I need to figure out how to use it.

Very, very good Robert, your production, story line and content are seriously good. Well done mate. 👍

Seriously though, I’m a Garmin XT user, what I’d like is Garmin to bring out a handlebar controller, so you can use it without taking your hands off the handle bars! It must surely be possible, judging by all the electrical pins on the back of the unit?

DMD looks great, for you guys that have endless offroad tracks to ride. 🤛😎🤜
