Iron Man 3 Pitch Meeting

Coming hot off the worldwide phenomenon that was the first Avengers movie, fans were super pumped to see Tony Stark in action once more in Iron Man 3. What they got was a movie where Tony deals with panic attacks and barely suits up and an iconic comic book villain turned into a plot twist. But at least expectations were subverted, right? Step into the pitch meeting that led to the third installment in the Iron Man franchise and led Marvel to be like “yeah maybe let’s just put Tony in other people’s movies from now on.” Also, where were the Avengers during this movie? They totally could have helped out a bit-- it would have been super easy, barely an inconvenience.

D&D were clearly taking notes from this pitch meeting for the last two seasons of Game of Thrones.

It's weird that terrorists were able to go to Tony's house on American soil with attack helicopters and blow up his house, then return to wherever they came from despite being extremely high priority terrorists doing an extremely forecasted attack. Also, "make a bunch of remote control suits to fight with you at the end of the movie" was what the villain did in Iron Man 2.

I know that these are just meant to be funny videos but I end up watching them half the time for my writing. like, they're super useful and make me think about things which you forget sometimes in story telling. Kind of a "what not to do" type message. As well as being really enjoyable to watch.
