As a Philippinian, i confirm that the second picture of the Philippine map he showed is legitimate.

Great battles here. As someone who’s loved and listened to a lot of music in my 55 years on this big ball … the tonal quality of your playing is outstanding. You have an incredible ear for riffs man and your humor is just a side bonus. Reminds me of my all time favorite guitarist SRV … sure there’s more technical people, but his soul and tonal quality was out of this world. Keep slapping bro you rock. 🤙

Yes. Really loved this video. I’m a bass player myself back in the early 80’s & now just acoustic guitar player. Thanks for sharing this and a new subscriber here.

Not surprised Davie found plenty of great bassist. Just about every tv show I have seen about music in the Philippines describes Filipinos, I mean Filipeians as amazing musicians and extreme fast learners. I recall Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown” episode from the Philippines. The band members he interviewed said they needed to learn new songs as soon as they’re released so they are ready to play at a club, etc. 🙂✋

Proud to be Filipino! Music is already in our DNA. It's our 2nd nature to distinguish sounds and rhythm by ear. From funk jazz to classics.. Kudos !
