Harris and Trump bicker over crowd size amid heated race

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump continue their face-off ahead of the 2024 election as Harris leads in three swing states, within the margin of error. This comes as the Trump campaign says it was hacked by an Iranian group back in June. NBC’s Garrett Haake reports for TODAY.

Caption hit me wrong instantly, and I'm not generally sensitive. Words choices are so important. Do you think NBC would've used the word "bicker" in the caption if there were two men candidates? How about "quarrel over, " "spar, " "wrangle, " "argue, " or half-a-dozen other synonyms for this childish/ diminutive/ demeaning word?
