A faux fur scarf/boa/collar in any colour you like keeps you warm and looks festive and fab. Also a studded/sparkly belt or chain. A chain or bag charm can make a handbag look special. I use key rings (buy a bag of different sizes from Amazon Smile) around the bag straps and hang silver charms, silver letters spelling my name, special coins ( I simply got my jeweller to make a small hole in my Peter Rabbit coin), etc., you can make an expensive-looking unique bag charm for little effort, you just need a basic pair of pliers, a few jump rings and that's it.

You reminded me that I own beautiful sparkling drop earrings from my wedding, rhinestone handbags from past events, hardly worn pairs of red velvet, silver glitter, and black bead heals. I absolutely love this advice. I personally don't like buying pieces to wear once a year. I love your accessory examples. I love the green croc bag and the pearl bag. I can totally imagine other beautiful outfits they would go with at other times of the year, but they absolutely make that outfit pop for the holiday season. I've really taken your advice to heart and have been trying to buy pieces that blend in with my other pieces and match my personal style. I don't have to be a cartoon version of me just because it's a holiday and that always feels so overwhelming to make happen anyway. I don't have to do the ugly sweater contest because it's simply not me and I don't want to own once-a-year items, but I can still make outfits feel special. This video was awesome.
