Supreme Court won’t delay Donald Trump sentencing

The US Supreme Court has ruled it won’t delay the sentencing decision in Donald Trump’s hush money trial.

The court rejected the state of Missouri’s bid to halt the outcome of the former president’s conviction until after the presidential election in November.

Mr Trump is vowing to appeal his conviction after sentencing, which is scheduled for September.

That’s just one case brought by Missouri. It’s an outlier. Doesn’t mean the sentencing will occur. Or that SCOTUS ruled in any way on the sentencing.
