Europe’s energy crisis: Living without central heating

Gripped by an energy crisis Europe is in power-saving mode. In several countries measures are being taken to reduce consumption, such as in Belgium, where people are taking part in the SlowHeat experient, to see how they can cope without central heating.

History repeating itself. In the fifties people didn't get a choice. If they wanted heat, they had to set their house on fire. Coal was expensive and rationed. My dad had to burn wood from the docks.

European Governments could care less about their own citizens. If the Government cared about their citizens they would pay a portion of the electricity prices .

Europe as a whole is done.
- Mass and uncontrolled immigration. This drives house prices and rents up. Also strangles public services because more demand.
- Uncontrolled public spending. More people means the gov needs to spend more. Immigrations are typically the poorest coming in. So they need to be housed, fed, clothed and given spending money. The tax base is at its limit, so the gov borrows more.
- With increased spending taxes goes up.
- With increased spending, inflation goes up.
- With the NS pipelines energy into Europe is very expensive. So many homes in the EU spend the majority of income on energy.

There is no way out. EU economies won't be growing any time soon. In-fact for the next 10 years all we are going to see are deficit spending and then suddenly... bang the whole thing will collapse. The UK is the canary in the coal mine. It will probably be the first to go.

First of all to feed the entire world...if people turned their lawns into gardens there would be enough food to feed three times as many people. Second the micro plastics issue is a man made construct. All that needs to be done to alleviate this problem is first of all clean up the plastics and start making everything out of hemp which has proven completely biodegradable and nontoxic to people as well as the environment. And everything that is made from plastics can be made with hemp and then some. The continued forced use of plastics is only because there were those who did not wish to lose money. If people grew food instead of lawns there would be enough food to feed three times as many people in the world. We can put generators on electric cars to recharge the batteries as well. Some people are doing this on their own. Thorium reactors can be used as opposed to uranium to produce safe and abundant electricity. This so called crisis is a lie and easily rectified. It is simply because those in power do not wish to rectify it. Uranium is used simply to make weapons. Thorium is very much less radioactive or toxic to the environment. We could quite easily make and use thorium reactors as opposed to uranium. Of course, government would lie and tell you it’s not a viable alternative but in fact it is. China is beginning to do it now. Then there are wave form generators that could be put along shore lines. And until all of this is implemented we could make vehicles that run off of ethanol. This produces exactly the amount of carbon used to grow the crops. And synthetic oil in fact works better than petroleum based oil. And guess what makes the best ethanol in the world…KUDZU yes the plant that is considered invasive and will grow one foot in a day. Until the fusion process is perfected which was discovered in dec of 2022( I think dec 13th) all of these things and many more could be implemented, oh not to mention three dimensional solar panels that will produce at least four times as much electricity per panel. However, they are being oppressed by the powers that be and this cannot be allowed to continue. The answer is most definitely there people. All of these ideas that are completely viable and more are being oppressed and this cannot continue. We do, in fact, have a choice and it’s really quite simple, simple as implementing it....
