Turning 29 today :) Met the love of my life last year. Hoping to graduate this year and get a job and ask her hand in marriage :) If you're reading this, do pray for us.

Loved the piece that explained: when you read the bible, don’t get your pleasure from checking off the bible box and feeling good about yourself, but rather get your pleasure from an encounter with God.

Here's the six:

1.) Find a radical Christ-centered wife (unless you're called to singleness.)
2.) Find a Bible believing church, be accountable to that community as they help you find your gifts
3.) Become as Bible-saturated as you can
4.) Resolve to read your Bible every day of your life
5.) Become a Christian hedonist
6.) Memorize Psalm 25 and pray it as your own

This video is published on my 22nd birthday, so the message feels like a present from God for its perfect timing! I've been listening to John Piper's sermons and podcasts for a while and always come away with a new perspective or a deeper meaning of the topic. He speaks the truth! If God wills me to reach 72 years, I hope to indeed have followed the stated advice and lived a life delightful to God. ||| Use my life and all of my talents for you, God! |||

I'm soon going to be 30 years old and If I could relive my 20s, I would say these are the things I would do differently:
1. Pray more (Leonard Ravenhill said, "no man is greater than his prayer life").
I'd devote at least three or four hours a day.
2. I'd master fasting as a life style as soon as possible.
Not only would I seek to do it weekly, but also stretch spiritual muscles to reach 21 days, no food and only water.
3. Get educated formally as soon as possible.
4. Take care of my body as a very high priority (work out, eat right, etc).
5. Master personal finances as soon as possible.
6. Find a mentor for the things I want to grow in, and not try to learn everything myself.
7. Discover a way to make passive income and stick to it.
8. Prioritize my reading differently.
Instead of reading widely, I would have searched the greatest books for each subject and topic of my interest, and stick to only reading the best of books. I've wasted time sorting through the chaff to find the wheat.
9. Have a better structure to the way I read the Bible and devote more time in the old testament.

A few days ago, I was crying out to God about his purpose for my life and my desire to fulfill what he has for me. It is so hard for me to give up my life and trust the Lord with all my heart. I was also asking God for scripture to read, and psalm 25 just came to me. It was almost my exact prayer to the Lord. And here again it shows up in this video. Please pray for my life and that my faith and desire would grow, that they would be so strong worldly desires would be so small in comparison so I would not be persuaded. Thank you Lord and Glory be to your Name. Do with me what YOU will.

As a young Christian, and someone who just recently turned 20, I am glad that God gave me friends who would care enough to recommend skilled teachers to me that God might show me the things that I need to see.

“I would seek more joy in God than anything else in the world, for the sake of personal holiness, perseverance through pain, and promotion of the glory of the God. I would get clarity and certainty around this sentence: God is most glorified in you when you’re most satisfied in Him..”

I turn 22 in 6 days. Thank you, Jesus, for finding me and calling me at such a young age. In college, two years ago, God rescued me from the pit and changed my life. He told me distinctly to stop drinking, smoking, and engaging in sex as I had been. But- He said it in a way that called me. He made me want to change, happy to change because his grace was shown completely. His mercy was revealed in every fiber of my being. I'll never forget those lonely days in my dorm room crying myself to sleep every night with Jesus. I desperately prayed to be delivered from depression, anxiety, aspergers. But it's funny now because I look back, and those were the moments I was closest to God. Every second of my day was with God, every breath was in consideration to God, every morning was God, and every thought was to God. I pray I return to that intimate dependence I had on Jesus.

I don't want to start all over at 48.I wouldn't change anything for the suffering I went through because I would have never been drawn to the Father without it.💯

27, already working on the first three. May God bless all of us as we endeavor to live our lives fully satisfied by Him in this sinful, wicked world.
