with reboot do you just mean restart? because ive done that but my cores are still parked.

Guys If you see 1 "core" in task manager it doesn't mean that the rest of them are parked

mine were parked but when i checked, i noticed they had recieved a ticket from a couple months ago.. what do I do to pay off the ticket? Apparantly they were illegally parked, and the ticket says that further fines will be charged if I move the parked cores anywhere other than they are help

For some reason this doesn't work for me whenever i go into the regedit. It has worked before with a diff cpu but now its like it doesnt recognize all my cores so i can't unpark them. win 7 64 bit. help please?

Strange that on Win 7 I search for these values on regedit and nothing comes up?

one of the files was set to 64x value
should i change it to 0 ?

Back up you're registry before you alter anything and if you have problems you can always restore it

I have a quad core CPU but my computer sees that I have 8 core because of hyper threading. I could only find one file which has Value Max and Min, but still it unlock 3 cores making 4 core not parked, but the hyper threading cores are still the same; can't I unpark the hyper threading cores?

I have a quad core processor and I just did this. When I go to the resource monitor, it only shows three cores. If I understand you correctly, it would still show my fourth core even if it's not active. Does this mean my processor is fucked up?

They are numbered 0 through 2, hence only showing 3 cores.

some games don't support 4 cores especially if it is an older game, while newer games like battlefield 3 work best with 4 core you can try reinstalling the game but i don't know if that will do any good.

I have a dual core but it only shows 1 CPU in the resource manager but in the utility it shows 4 Cores? But in CPU-Z it shows 2. Why is this??
