Yknow- I always thought the fact 999 was created was so that anyone who was strong enough to defeat Scarlet, they would drop their guard by the happy mush of excitement. It acts like a puppy, but the puppy can easily make you drop your guard and vulnerable. It even made the unkillable lizard HAPPY-
