Russia hit with ninth round of sanctions over invasion of Ukraine

European and United States sanctions on Russia have forced many international companies and brands to leave the country.
The Kremlin says it has a plan to fill the gap.
However, people continue to struggle to buy basic supplies.

The idea that Russia is the second army in the world, and Russia is a technological leader in the military industry, has also fallen asleep. Russia is not a leader in anything. Artificial intelligence, auto industry, electronics and high technology - everything comes from the West. Yesterday I took a walk from The Barbican to Oxford Street.
Never I have I witnessed so many shops, buildings and small businesses boarded up.
Rubbish was strewn everywhere, including the alleys, retail doorways and the usually well maintained public squares which all looked pretty dire.
Things aren't looking very good over here neither!
