Hi everyone, in this video, I have compared the three flagship chipsets of 2023, the A16 bionic, Dimensity 9200 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 to find out which is the ultimate powerhouse. In this video, I have tested the chipsets through benchmarks and gaming tests!

👉 Products tested in the video,
- iPhone 14 Pro Max - A16 Bionic
- Vivo X90 Pro - Dimensity 9200
- iQOO 11 - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Hey everyone, hope you enjoyed the video.

It seems that there's an editing error in the table at 7:47. In Dimensity 9200's column, the first and tenth values should be 103 and 93, indicating a 10% run-to-run variation.

Thank you for understanding :)

Even though Apple's A16 is far ahead in CPU performance on benchmarks but performs worse than 8 Gen 2 in real life usage because it doesn't have a proper cooling chamber which many android phones got. In GPU section, 8 Gen 2 destroys A16 on papers and in real life usage as well.

The rise of MediaTek is a great news for consumers as more competition is going to bring down prices. Also, I have first time in my life switched to a MediaTek powered phone and I got to say their thermal management is magnificent. Their chip can generate quite a lot of performance in low temps. It's useful when it comes to maintaining constant fps in games.

Someone has to say it: "the tables have turned quite dramatically. It's up now to Apple to catch up to the competition."

Great video.... I'm very impressed at how much dimensity has come on. Its nice to see the bionic get a run for its money. But most of all I'm just absolutely extatic that I'll not be getting exynos in my s23 ultra. Phew! Happy days

The way Qualcomm used an extra performance core to fill up along with the Cortex A510. It was smart

Whatever the results; what really matters is sustained performance and stability under load, and I am glad to see that all 3 chips manage to maintain their performance with relatively low external temperatures.

I am glad you also mentioned real world tests because benchmarks aren't realistic and most companies cheat by optimising their chips to perform harder when they recognise benchmarks. There are testers who spoof other apps as benchmarks and notice the chips overclock to work harder than usual.

Genshin Impact is the "Crysis" of mobile games. I don't know when there will ever be a chipset that can run it above 60 fps on ultra settings without overheating.

Mediatek is doing great by its side. Even snapdragon afraid that how they beat the flagship series in just a year.

Higher FPS in every game with better stability and cooler thermal management. This is what we actually want. We don't need higher CPU performance if it's not gonna give better fps and stability.

Awesome comparison. Your sequencing is always spot on🙃. But on a larger perception, since snap8gen2 and dim9200 has ray tracing capability.... its was very much obvious that they will steal the lime light from A16. Being in 3D field, i can say that ray tracing is extremely processor cum GPU hungry aspect. It is all about adding real reflections and real shadows onto every single frame. Above if the game scene has a glass surface or chance upon a mirror somewhere.... ray trace engine follows same physical law of reflection as encountered in real life... ie, infinite reflections!!!! 'aka' reflections within

Phone flagships are getting more and more expensive but SD has never been like this against Bionic. It's awesome to be living to see this.

Competition is indeed good.

Thank you for the benchmarks, especially the real time ray tracing one. The dimensity 9200 looks like a RT ray tracing beast here, and I hope we get to see RT ray tracing in some mobile games soon. Looking forward to the vivo x90 pro launching in my country as that is the phone that I am aiming to get.

This was an incredible comparison.
Apple reusing the a15 gpu architecture shows the lack of improvement perfectly. A17 will be a huge lip in gpu performance since they had to scrap their a16 gpu architecture for limitations with hardware accelerated ray tracing.

Thank you for sharing. Please keep running this test for new chipsets like A17 pro, 8 Gen 3, 9300 etc.

It might not get alot of views but that is definately a very informative video and the hardwork you do is commendable✌🏻

I am wondering if this kind of comparison is efficient because the Snap G2 performance is phone brand depends on. If you take the same chip in an other phone the optimization will not be the same. Also comparing Arm V8 vs Arm V9 is a little bit tricky

Antutu had already announced some time back that iOS score and Android score are different and they are not comparable. Which means iPhone's Antutu score does not mean it is weaker than Android.
