Показать описание
Built for a retired couple, Sukoon honours the legacy of the clients by taking inspiration from various Indian art styles and craftsmanship. Each corner of the house echoes with beautiful memories and touches from various stages of their life making the house a celebration of their journey.
A striking feature of the house is a porch in the northwestern corner of the plot, that has an old Rajasthani window with Mangalore tiles and a vintage jharokha style planter, accentuated by beige texture wall and jaali acting as a warm welcoming space into the house. A double height foyer with a metal staircase and various eclectic finishes, textures and paintings establish the design grammar followed in the rest of the house.
The layout is a fine balance between indoor and outdoor spaces with two beautiful courtyards and outdoor seating on the northern and southern sides and a luscious green lawn in the western side of the plot.
