SOCD has been a huge deal in fighting game controllers for a while and yes certain SOCD modes (like last input priority like we see here) is in fact considered cheating for fighting games. It's not allowed in tournaments but in your own home online you can go nuts with it.

Never thought I'd ever see it become a thing for keyboards and fps games.

here is the problem... if we go that route, we can call many other things cheating as well. rapid triggers? cheating. 500hz monitor? cheating. Nvidia Reflex? cheating. 4k dollar pc that blows out 800fps? cheating. PC gaming, inherently is pay to win. The person that can spent money on hardware will always have an advantage over others.

Josh, I used to like your content quite a lot, but videos like this are making me seriously disappointed in your direction. Honestly, what is the point of this video? This is a low effort copy of Optimum Tech's video that came out 3 days ago. You even admit to learning about this from his video. Why copy it? The thumbnail is almost identical, the content is almost identical, you present no new information, don't do your own research, and don't perform your own testing. There is zero value to producing this video. I want to get back to liking your videos, but I see this as nothing more than affiliate link farming, which you've been accused of many times in the past.

Please go back to reviewing products in fields you know best and give us more of that sweet, sweet cinematography you're known to put on the screen.

I don't consider it cheating. this looks like how a keyboard should behave. it's just a matter of time before all keyboards have this. it's just frustrating when only a few have it right now.

wooting already added this feature. its better in every way compared to the razer boards. and also more moddable for those who care. if you care about this, get the wooting.

This feels like something that should be fixed in games by nerfing spam strafing with progressive de-acceleration or something like that, not by banning hardware.
I honestly wish null binds were a thing in all games because it's more comfortable.

Yeah, it could stay as an accessibility feature but any usage other than that constitutes cheating. It's pretty much no different to a macro, just a hardware version of it.
Edit : Also the Wooting keyboards are still miles ahead of the competition in regards to accuracy an featureset

There are so many factors to this being useful and completely useless in some modern FPS. I.E. Aim assist, Hit Box patterns, latency etc. regardless this is consider a macro just like anything else that has been out there in the market and it’s still considered a cheating advantage from taking a physical move you would expect to have in a competitive scenario.

I don't think it's a big deal personally because it isn't as big of a deal as it seems on paper because if you're trying to jiggle too fast you basically stay in place and the real benefit is instant direction change when strafing one direction. If anything I see it being treated like a macro at worst.
