I agree with you Colonel Steven McCraw. They did not 'fail' because they did not even 'try' to stop the assailant. They stood by 'armed to the teeth' and in greater numbers and allowed 19 students and 2 teachers to be slaughtered while they did nothing. There is no excuse for such inaction by law enforcement officers who took an oath to 'Serve and Protect.'

When I was young in Texas back in the 80s
and 90s, the Texas DPS troopers were almost
universally respected. Even criminals talked
about how they would be fair, impartial and
professional. Every contact I ever had with them,
they were the same. Thirty plus years later, they
are the biggest joke of a law enforcement agency
in Texas with the typical pathetic attitudes you
NEVER saw way back when. I miss those old
days...

They literally could have gone around and outside to get eyes on him and shoot him from behind thru the window and keep in contact over radio with eyes on which room he was in.
