Very informative, I am happy with my x728, which is similar to your x748. Keep up the good work. Your demeanor is refreshing, and production quality is top notch. Thank you.

Great video. Just did my breakin service on my 21 X738 and it was the simplest I've ever done in my life. Totally tool less and didn't spill a drop. Looking forward to your 50hr video.

My understanding is the alloy wheels, fuel tank size, cutouts in the frame, etc. were all part of a weight reduction strategy to keep the X700 series under any ROPS size and weight requirements.

Do the newest decks come with the center anti scalp wheel? I had to add one to my 60” deck and it made a world of difference. I agree that I’ve never had a more stable mower for ditches. The four wheel drive is seamless.

I have a x500 series jd tractor that is about 4 years old!! Greatest positive is it cuts a very smooth yard!! Biggest negatives are living with a lot of trees little sticks get caught in the pulleys and throw the belt!! The seat is cracking and the Kawasaki has used some oil since day one!!! It is a tough mower and cuts a good lawn for sure!! Best wishes with your nice mower☺️

Does John Deere make the x730
I was told another tractor company makes them for John Deere

Great info, thanks for sharing! Does anyone know if the actual rral-world turning radius is different on the x750 vs the 4wd x758? There are only a few spots I need 4wd but lots more where I want a very tight turning radius so I want to make sure 4wd doesn't hurt it. Any real-world experience would be greatly appreciated!

Do you happen to know if the x758 uses sealed bearings in mower deck? What is your thoughts, based on your experience, of greasing spindles? I suppose if the x758 does not use seals bearings, you definitely want to grease them. But if they are sealed, does it do any good? And if they are sealed, why would Deere put grease fittings on them?

How is the reverse speed on these? It is the only thing that really bugs me on my 425’s and 455’s lol

Just wondering if you are still planning a 50 hour review/maintenance video?

What is the purpose of the little rubber "O" ring on the rod of the steering cylinder? My X738 has it too as do new model X739s. I can move it around with my fingers and for the life of me don't see the purpose for it.

Just got my x758. Do you happen to know where to find the model number on the transaxle? I know it’s a TuffTorq but can’t find the model number anywhere. Only number I saw was just above the drain plug stamped into the housing. That number is K014003852.

I agree with you. I don't like the alloy wheels either. I also wished that they would have kept the HD Field Trax tires instead of the ugly tires they have on them now.

Following this looking forward to more! Interested in the x758s. Im more of an orange guy but if you compare this to a kubota GR2120 there just is no comparison. Durabilities and the options of this platform is far greater for the money. Just from my research.

Is it mechanically Injected or electronically?

For the price point you got this mower for you could have gotten a scag turf tiger with a 72” deck since this machine is only being used for mowing.

You have heard from me before and I could afford anything but LOVE my JD 318 for cutting my 3 acres lawn. Am 83 years old and am too old to give up my hydro control off the dash. Maybe my head is in the sand.

Nice machine, I’m planning on getting the same but with a 48” deck
