He dies not because of lack of self-esteem but because rebirth is a process that only a select strong few can survive (namely you). Notice Rennala's children all have broken legs and probably have so many health issues they can't last, being stuck on a circle of requiring rebirth forever, unaware of how horrifying it truly is what Rennala is doing to them because they're constantly with an infant's mindset.

Another little detail is, if you read the prattling plate's description, the voice doesn't remind him of his mom, it is her voice. The prattling plate is an echo of a memory, and it was eternalized in it.

i love boc so much. i’m on my third play through, i’m just trying to get everything that i can done. looking for all spells, weapons, ashes, etc. boc has been one of the only storylines that i haven’t gotten right. but on my next play through, i definitely will.

The reason Boc dies is not self esteem issues. It’s because rebirth is always flawed without the Great Rune of the Unborn you get from defeating Rennala. That’s why Boc can’t talk to you and her children are flawed. They have the mind of a new born and severe health issues.

I feel like his quest line is bugged or still unfinished on PS4 cause he never asks for my golden needle or says anything else and just hangs out in the capital of Leyndell at the same grace. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything cause it seems like his quest line is pretty simple. Idk

It is one true... But dont show us the chaos ending as the horrific ending . It is not! Want true horror? True pain and despare? Show us the real baddest ending. The dung eater's ending or the actual name of it : age of despare. Or despare ending

He actually dies still there a dialog by yura saying "the one who called you lord I have found dead" (or something like that) implying he went on his own journey and ended in his demise
