Hybrids were more common. Many of them were found also in Romania and other places. In addition, both Y-chromosome and mtDNA in Neanderthal populations were obtained from earlier humans more than 100 kya.
Denisovan-Neanderthal are known from Siberia. Hybrids also happened between other human groups.

I would never make it as a research geneticist/archeologist or research geneticist/anthropological scientist given how much I know about how artists do tend to make sure that the research scientists whom they are working for get the grant money that they are needing to carry on with their research and then obtain tenure while being head of a research team next. I'd prefer being a geologist or biologist who stays far away from research in genetics as possible when it comes to the archeology or anthropology side of things.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know the fossil was human with Neanderthal features. Though it could have been a stocky child by human standards. Plus you did not say how the hydroxyproline is used to set the age of the fossil.

A different video told us that interbreeding in an area of eastern Europe was mostly female neanderthal with homo male. Intriguing if true, but I'm going to guess that there are precious few examples.
