Washington car insurance rates expected to increase around 20% this year

They should increase premiums on those people who cause accidents or who are at fault. Wtf does everyone else get penalized for a few bad drivers. Doesn't make sense and that should be prohibited by lawmakers

I was with Pemco for 17yrs. No tkts, no accidents, no claims, high credit score. Our rates doubled. Homeowner ins went up 40%. Again, no claims. Cost of everything went up, but its getting ridiculous. Found a new reputable insurer that was 50% less for same coverage. So don't give up hope.

Classic Seattle. Now law abiding citizens pony up while I guarantee hit and runs by uninsured drivers will skyrocket. This is like the new fees to "help" the delivery drivers except now ordering delivery is cost prohibitive and they make less now than ever.

Why are traffic fatalities increasing? Could it be the massively distracting screens they are putting in new cars? Could it be that they are doing away with physical buttons and you have to navigate menus and submenus on a screen -- just to complete simple tasks like turning your heated seat on?

My auto insurance increased by 30%. No explanation provided from Insurance provider. I received home insurance renewal notice today and is increased by 55%. No claims, no changes in coverage and again no explanation provided.

Mine already increased last year and they insurance company said it was based on inflation.

Maybe if law enforcement, legislators and the judiciary worked to reduce vehicle related crime in WA instead of enabling/ignoring it, WA residents wouldn’t have to get gouged.
