Tony, Great video series.
Here are a few things that may trip up a novice following along.
At 3:59 it should mention that the PC's ipv4 settings should be reset to obtain ip address automatically, so it will be able to get its address from the ER-X dhcp server, so it will be able to access the web interface after cable is moved from eth0 to eth1.
At 13:24 there is a typo in the mask for the first subnet in the Safe_Networks firewall network group. It should be 192.168.0.0/16 instead of /24. As it is, it won't match the 192.168.100.0/24 network. Edit: I see that there is a pop-up title there with the correct mask, I must not have noticed it.
I would have removed and configured eth4 ( see 24:44 ) before switching to vlan-aware mode. Also, after this is done, eth4 should be added to the DNS forward listeners.
At 24:00 when changing the switch to vlan-aware mode, I would be logged in from eth4, then remove address from switch0 and add vif 1, and put ip address on switch0.1 Then if there is a future requirement to allow routing from the guest network to the trusted network and filtered by the firewall, it will be possible. There is info about this on the Ubiquiti forums. Tony likes to do it the way he does because it is belt and suspenders; the guest network can't route to the 192.168.100.1 network because the configuration won't allow traffic to be routed. My observation is that users will tell you they want the guest network to isolated, but what they really want is limited access to it.

Hi Tony, thanks for your content. The documentation on this router doesn't clearly state how to identify a trunk port to uplink to an unifi switch for example. Is the correct action to keep say eth0 (SFP) blank after selecting VLAN aware? Therefore, it is untagged. Adding VLAN IDs to the eth1-eth4 would be tagged for use in the associated VLAN.

Tony, If you have say 10 VLANS setup would the DNS and DHCP Settings need to be setup on each VLAN?
