A full strong 5 frame will do just fine over winter. Just make sure you feed them sometimes there’s not enough forging bees too fill all the frames . So helping them is important.

Awesome numbers once again! Where do you buy your boxes, they’re all nice and do you stain them? Also did some reading on the chalkbrood, says the spores of the fungus are resistant to degradation and can be viable for 15 years. This is about your other videos I watched earlier tonight, so thought I would tell you what I read, some say get rid of the frames, clean tools and even re-queen. There are other things but these were the few that stuck out. Thanks again!
