Book 6: He loses Dumbledore and Aragog
Book 7: He gets kidnapped by death eaters

The fact that that is even Umbridge's response just puts her as an idiot in my mind. You live in a world of magic. Magic is inherently dangerous even to trained and responsible users. Only a person who's grown up sheltered from the realities of life can say something like that.
