Did You Know This About Dolores Umbridge In HARRY POTTER…

While J.K. Rowling thinks that Umbridge’s desire to control, to punish and to inflict pain, all in the name of law and order, are just as evil as Voldemort's, known horror writer Stephen King has dubbed former Defense Against the Dark Arts professor as one of fiction's creepiest villains! He even claimed that Dolores Umbridge was the greatest make-believe villain since Hannibal Lecter, with her girlish vocal tone, toad-like face, and clutching, stubby fingers, and her judgemental, prejudiced and sadistic attitude.

Umbridge is that one teacher that hated you for some unknown reason, if there was any. She feels REAL, flairs up memories you hid away.

She didn't even die in the books, she went to Azkaban. So Rowling kills off the best characters while keeping the worst alive.

On a different note, a round of applause for umbridge's actress because she did a great job of bringing this character to life. This was probably a really hard character to act as.

And Imelda did such a good job in the role that whenever I see her in anything else I instantly mistrust/hate the character. Amazing acting job.

Her actor is so good at creepy women… She did Mrs Lovett from Sweeney Todd in a slightly modernized variation of the play, and I loved it so much, so much chemistry!

Well, considering Annie Wilkes (Misery) is a manifestation of King's greatest fear, I can see that.

Somehow no matter how bad the one we compare her too, we will make the comparison even if the other is significantly and obviously worse, we will call her a contender even if she doesn't scratch the level, that's just how we see her, she's so believe and real she has traits that we've all encountered at least one of...

She creepier because people in the story looked at Voldemort and collectively said "He's evil." Those same people then looked at Dolores and collectively said "She's on the side of good."

What's worse is that you can see her Patronus, which can only be summoned with happiness or happy memories, while she's actively interrogating and torturing someone. She derives ACTUAL JOY from punishing others, while Voldemort just wants power and will do anything to get it.

She’s also sneaky as well which makes her more evil and scary. She went under the radar for a while and not many adults knew how terrible she is
