FAQ #82 Who 'dislikes' our videos?

Who is it that dislikes our videos? We see this question all the time. Sorry about another phone camera FAQ Video. I'll remember to take along the camcorder the next time my wife and I head out West. :-)

To clarify, I'm not bothered by "dislikes." I never even look at the number of "dislikes" and such. If the "dislikes" begin to outnumber the "Likes, " John will notice and let me know. It's just that I see people posting the same comment almost every day, "Why would people dislike this video?" Just thought I'd take a shot at answering it in an FAQ Video. Anybody who is a "public figure" at any level is going to have haters. That's part of it and should not really even be bothersome. Why would anybody who supports firearms freedom, gun rights, the NRA, the GOA, the 2nd Amendment Foundation, Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, etc. expect NOT to have people disagree with him, and even express "Hate." I'm actually surprised we don't get much MORE Hate, considering how easy it is to be an "Anonymous Keyboard Warrior, " and also how beneficial it can be for somebody with a small blog or Internet presence to get clicks by hating on us.
Bottom line is, our audience (You all) is all that matters to us. We're fortunate to have a fairly large audience that at least on some level likes what we do. Others are of no concern to us; we're too busy enjoying firearms almost every day of the week. :-) There's the "REAL" world, and there's the "Virtual" world; I spend most of MY time out in the "REAL" world, working on the range, bushhogging the Compound, repairing targets, cleaning / working on firearms, gathering up range trash, sighting in new firearms, testing new firearms, researching firearms, trimming trails, visiting gun shops, and many other things, of course.

I am Brazilian and I say to those who do not like weapons, in 2005 the people voted for there is no restriction on civilian weapons, the left government did not respect and made it difficult to access weapons, today brazil explodes in violence with more than 60 thousand deaths per year, I hope the US will not make this decision to ban firearms, the price will be high!

I don't think I've ever hit the "thumbs down" icon for any YouTube video I've ever watched. I almost always click the "thumbs up" if I watch a video, because I figure if someone put in the effort to make something worth watching, a "like" is the least I can do after watching it. Since I don't watch videos that concern subject matter in which I have no interest, I don't have to worry about liking them or not - I just don't watch 'em. Stay safe out there.

These are without a doubt the best historic gun reviews on YouTube if not anywhere. You more than once mentioned my favorite Mauser 98. I subscribe to a lot of classic and militaria mags and they rarely are as fun as your videos. Say strong brother and keep shooting!

I live in Australia, it's extremely strict on guns and I can only go to a shooting range to fire one. Yet I've been in love with guns since I was a boy. Though I'm not jealous of you at all Hickok, unlike all the other ignorant haters. your videos give me satisfaction of firearms I probably will never get a hold of. Keep doing what you're doing man!
