I watched the choking one, and now I’m watching this one, just in case a child at lunch chokes because my friends and I eat lunch with 6 year olds for the teachers to set up the next lesson. So I have paranoia and I just watched them because I don’t wanna sit there and watch them choke

I don’t understand. How come you go straight to chest compressions after the casualty goes unconscious? Don’t you have to check for a pulse before doing compressions? How does this work?

Can someone explain to me why is the mask necessary? I've always thought in this cases it was supposed to be mouth to mouth breathing. A plastic mask wouldn't stop the air from going in?
