For anyone who didn't know (because I didn't) Tiana is singing about a massive hurricane that happened in New Orleans (her home town) in 2005 that killed thousands of people and absloutely destroyed the city, leaving it in a massive wreck. The "Astrodome" or Superdome is where they sent all of the surviving people they could find. Because of the small space with the amount of people the room the tempreature got up to 30 + degress C (90 degrees F). On top of that supplies were very scarce so with the heat, stress, emotions and lack of adequate supplies people began to fight and steal and do all of those bad things that humans do when theyre agitated. One man even jumped 50 ft to his death and there are many accounts of rape, assult, hard drug use (with someone even overdosing). There was 4 other deaths that were only released as natural causes. It was a truly horrfic event.

Fun fact: Since Mulan is Han chinese, her family name is Hua instead of Fa. That means that when she went under the same "Fa Ping" it was actually "Hua Ping", meaning vase, which is also a slang for *g a y*
