Man, I had EXACTLY THE SAME symptoms that you had. This was the only vid I found in whole YouTube (trust me, I've searched) that helped me. My 5V was 4.7, today I dismounted all my components, cleaned the power suply connections with isopropyl alcohol, and then turned all back on, and... VOILÀ! My PC is back. I Thank you much, i've liked and subscribed. Thank you a lot <3

Thank you, this video helped me. I was having random blue screen when playing steam games for like 5 months now. I thought it's just my ram or something. But after watching your video, I removed the 2 extension cable that I bought from amazon that is connected to my GPU then used the cable from PSU straight to my GPU. It works no more blue screen. I think it's really because of the extension cable.

I had the same issue, even while playing Nikke on my PC, so after i watched your video, i bought a new power supply today. I can now play all my games without any issues, including The First Descendant on Ultra settings. Thank you very much

Terrific video Charlie. Very thorough and methodical. I had some USB instability in the past but never considered it to be caused by the power supply. I upgraded to another PSU about a year ago to allow for a GPU upgrade and now that I think about those intermittent USB issues also went away. For some reason I never put 2 and 2 together there. So perhaps I had the same issue as you. I will have to test the old PSU now as I was keeping it around as a spare but if the voltage levels have diminished then maybe it should be disposed of instead.

Amazing work as always 🤗 And amazing to see how you figured out the issue step by step, not everyone will think abt the power supply but more likely think it's the motherboard 👏👏👏

I’ve had this problem for nearly 2 months now. I built a whole new pc, and I was shocked because I thought I might’ve installed the wrong drivers etc. I replaced the MB for a better one and I got a better GPU than the one I had. Still ran into the issue, but I did notice how the mouse would just DISAPPEAR Sometimes, or stop working. I will be diagnosing the PSU later. Hopefully this is what it is. Thank you!!!

Been dealing with WHEA_Uncorrectable error for weeks.

Turns out all I needed was a trip to best buy for a new PSU. Thanks Charlie!

I’ve been having that issue and got a new power supply and everything but it just started happening again. After replacing the motherboard the pc crashing stopped for a week or two and then just started doing it again

if CSM legacy mode is enabled then is possible that you have same issue like i had..so i disabled CSM in BIOS uefi..and since then works fine to me.

For me it was those super pretty psu extension cables, removed them and haven't had an issue since!

WHEA errors are due to low voltage - correct. In your case it was PSU. However in most cases it is a sign of a defective CPU. Usually on low loads while the CPU boost to a very high clocks it "demands" too little voltage from your motherboard that is not enough to sustain itself and so it throws cache error and crashes. Pretty common with 5000 series CPUs unfortunately... RMA is your only solution for a permanent fix. Of course as long as your new CPU also isn't defective..
