You say:"Air on the moon motionless? " What air?

So, we're not gonna find out what he really hid for all those years.

Referring to Neil Armstrong as a Navy Soldier is an inaccurate classification. Sailors are not Soldiers, just as they are not Marines. Only the Army goes by Soldier.

and who's the corpse on your cover page? Click bait.

"...because the air on the moon is really, completely motionless" Any grade-schooler knows there is NO air whatsoever on the moon.

What about giving credit to Buzz Aldrin for saving the mission when he used his ingenuity to trigger the switch that fired the liftoff rocket from the moon. It wasn’t all about Neil Armstrong, it was about all three of them!

They are private memories of one man who lived and dedicated his life to something larger than himself. Precious treasures of one man who will be forever remembered in the books of Human History. Well done, Sir!

I didn't know about the camera and other souvenirs. For someone who is the first human to set foot Luna, there'd be a desire to keep something of the experience, something personal. Had he turned that camera over to NASA, there'd be very little of the experience that he could hold onto for himself. It's the same as an actor in a big movie, keeping a small prop--something they touched every day and are intimately familiar with. Keeping something like that is a very human gesture.

They were not completely on their own in the quarantine trailer. There was a doctor and a technician in there with them.

What a nice video about this monumental moment in history. They were very brave and noble astronauts.

Yeah... Because Richard Nixon talking to Neil Armstrong on a land line phone is real.

I remember watching the Apollo 11 launch at school and I remember watching as the capsule landed in the ocean and the feeling of relief when the door was finally opened and they emerged safely and were taken into the life boat…. 🇺🇸

I saw a doco on him a while back and as a test pilot he was exceptional and over the years he had escaped or avoided death in a number of crashes testing new aircraft and their capabilities. He was known to be very calm in highly stressful life threatening situations and that's why he was selected to fly and land on the moon.

As an audiovisual producer, I must admit, that the Apollo landings were great studio productions. They were good enough, to make no one else ever again try to find out, if living beings would be capable of crossing the Van-Allen-Radiation-Belt (actually the two Van-Allen-Radiation-Belts). Right now, NASA can be really happy, that Dimitri Rogosin, ex jefe de la Roscosmos (agencia espacial rusa) just had changed from this job to the Ucranian front. That makes it easy to destroy his image (in the West) and debunk his doubts about the NASA's Apollo mission officers (or anyone) ever have been setting their foot on our Earth's trabant.
