First Man - Official Trailer #2
In Theaters and IMAX October 12

On the heels of their six-time Academy Award®-winning smash, La La Land, Oscar®-winning director Damien Chazelle and star Ryan Gosling reteam for Universal Pictures’ First Man, the riveting story behind the first manned mission to the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the decade leading to the historic Apollo 11 flight. A visceral and intimate account told from Armstrong’s perspective, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the film explores the triumphs and the cost—on Armstrong, his family, his colleagues and the nation itself—of one of the most dangerous missions in history.

Written by Academy Award® winner Josh Singer (Spotlight, The Post), the epic drama of leading under the pressure of grace and tragedy is produced by Wyck Godfrey & Marty Bowen (The Twilight Saga, The Fault in Our Stars) through their Temple Hill Entertainment banner, alongside Isaac Klausner (Love, Simon) and Chazelle. Steven Spielberg, Adam Merims and Singer executive produce, while DreamWorks Pictures co-finances the film.

"We need to fail down here so we don't fail up there". Pretty much the perfect statement for anyone chasing their dream. Film looks really good

The most misunderstood film of 2018. Extraordinary on every level.

This Movie was absolutely incredible. Went to see it in IMAX and was blown away. This is definitely one for the big screen guys. Don't miss the opportunity to. For those commenting saying how we all know how the movie will end; It isn't about the ending. It's about the journey there.

Sneaky trailer editing - Mashing up the 'serious problems' on Gemini with the launch of Apollo 11. Looks more accurate than the first trailer though.

Awesome. Looks like they're going to show his Gemini maneuver, where he hit 23 switches in sequence while spinning uncontrollably like a top. They could have died, easily. This is why he was selected to command the moon landing. He knew everything about everything when it came to the mission. Very competent.

Just got back from seeing this movie in theater. It was truly amazing and awe-inspiring. I almost started crying.
You’ll never look at the moon the same way after you’ve seen this masterpiece.

Haters will say this is fake, and was filmed on earth.

I hate it when the trailer spoils the movie... I didn't have to know they would land on the moon succesfully.

And now this. Great decade to be a fan of this kind of flick.

There's no doubt Neil Armstrong was arguably the coolest cat under pressure of anyone of those astronauts. How he managed to escape his test vehicle before it slammed into pieces on the ground, or his Gemini situation with his vehicle out of control doing one full rotation a second and blindly bringing it to a halt, and then on his Apollo 11 mission how he was able to correct the Eagle from slamming into boulders do to a radar software miscalculation with seconds remaining with almost no fuel left, is beyond extraordinary. Truly and simply the best.

I'm so in love with this movie! Please Hollywood make more historical/biographical movies like this one, seriously I'm kinda fed up with those superheroes crap!

0:47 The command "Go for main engine start" was never issued during the Apollo program. That was from the Shuttle era. The correct term would be "Ignition Sequence Start"

Gee, I sure do hope they make it back to earth...

Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were Heros... but really that’s nothing compared to Michael Collins... who has to go all the way to the moon just to watch Neil and Buzz walk on it

I get chills every time I watch this trailer. Neil was a once in a generation talent. His accomplishments were nothing less than astonishing.

I was born the day Sputnik was announced. My entire childhood was formed in the knowledge that great men and women had achieved the impossible. I entered the service, learned electronics and ultimately designed ICs, a few of which are headed to the edge of the solar system then eternity. My life, like that of so many others, is largely due to the monumental technical achievement and boundless courage of those crazy fuckers.

Thank you for my life.
