In today's video, I'll be bringing you the latest updates in the world of AR & VR. First up, we'll discuss Meta's new feature that allows you to sideload updates through the browser using the Quest Software Update Tool. Following that, we'll dive into Meta's rebranding of the Quest Mobile App once again.

Next, we'll look at the exciting new eye-tracking add-on for the Quest 2 called Inseye Lumi, which boasts cameraless eye-tracking capabilities. We'll also explore the new compute unit for Xreal glasses, enhancing your experience with the Xreal Beam Pro.

They say Quest 3 is good... but why does everyone say it's worse for DCS or MSFS games than Pimax Crystal or XR-4?

Eye tracking for foveated rendering. If enough people use it then there's hope for a larger adoption and better performance in vr is a godsend.
Imagine a future where VR headsets have bigger FOVs. Eyetracking is mandatory. Hope this paves the way. Can't wait to try it out hopefully soon.

The new updater is gonna be SO USEFUL! I live in the UK, and updates roll out about 10 days after the US gets it, now I can finally get updates early!

That eye tracking addon is a HUGE deal in terms of capability upgrade....If it can work natively for Meta Quest OS and PCVR APIs (OpenVR/OpenXR) for Dynamic foveated rendering and gaze-based apps compatibility. ~$660 for an eye tracked Q3 is the ultimate sweet spot for an all-around capable HMD.

Lol, its crazy. PSVR2 has the capability for eye tracking, but wont use it for PCVR. Quest doesn't have the capability, but added it on for PCVR.

its the right url, it even shows up in google search results but every time it says the page is unavailable

It took more than A MONTH from the official release of the v66 firmware until I was actually able to update 😡 EDIT: The Meta website with the sideload tool was already shut down!!
