In the PHB its described that clerics and paladins get their powers not necessarily from gods and rather from their devotion and their believes meaning a cleric devoted to anything really is a valid choice and the phrase making clerics better is harsh generally because clerics are generally a really great at pretty much anything but stealth tho even that can be dealt with by utilising some subclasses

Oh, oh, my Undead Warlock doesn't have a Patreon per say!
Each time Lavínia levels up, a soul she help save or damn gives away a secret.
When she Eldritch blasts, she allows one to briefly enter her hand, but since two souls can't occupy the same space, it gets LAUNCHES OFF, like a Ghastly Punch!
Form of Dread is she putting her own soul outside her body, she does it so often that her body no longer requires eating or breathing (lvl 6 ability).
I got the Telekinetic Feat, but in our table, it's a Poltergeist.
Chill Touch, Fear, Hex... Reflavoring the spells to fit the archetype is really fun.

Too bad it's all in Barovia, where most people don't have a soul in the first place! 😅

How about an Artificer that's a Necromancer as well?

You have the proverbial Dr. Frankenstein there.

Or in a more futuristic sense, maybe the Artificer somehow discovered the secret to reanimation through aome form of "arcane nanotechnology".

Maybe something else entirely?

Either way, I think it's do-able. 👍 There's room for creativity there.
