Like I mentioned earlier in another similar video, it's not right that they're doing this, and unless someone was in danger, they shouldn't be eavesdropping just for the sake of it. They shouldn't be butting into anyone else's business, period!

It's gonna get worse, for in about 10 years we won't even have the option of purchasing a non-smart device. It doesn't matter whether it's a Phone, Computer, T.V., Microwave, Washer/Dryer, Refrigerator, Stove/Oven or a Dishwasher ect. All Electronical Devices and Home Appliances will be Smart Tech with no alternative.

This is 100%, true.Is this legal!!!! I dont think so, cos the radio stations as well are doin the same, they sit at their radio station" lounge" n watch us via the tv n radio they do have excess to all of our stuffs. Why cant we sue them for infringement of privacy.

From a software developer standpoint, it wouldn't make sense for the TV to need to send any voice commands over the internet. All of that processing should be done locally in the program running on the TV which should be looking for keywords to run the same functions as it would if the user pressed a button or selected something from a menu. This is probably the way it is designed anyways and people are just freaking out over nothing. Still good to be conscious of the possibilities though I guess.

Oh absolutely Oprah, no question, your privacy is of utmost importance to all tech companies. They would never dream of giving you up to the highest bidder and sell you like some much day old govt. cheese.

They sell your data and cut you out of the money. All smart TVs have a computer inside them. Streaming has caused this. Old time cable they could not track you like that. Now they can screen grab anything on the HDMI port too. So ever an old DVD they will know what you are watching and when you are watching it. You can DNS block some of the data but that is beyond most consumers skill level.

By getting hold of ur email address as well, ur tablets, phones, computers, ect are all being hacked, its child's play
