Breaking down judge's decision on Fani Willis in Trump's Georgia case

A Fulton County judge ruled Friday that District Attorney Fani Willis and her office may remain on the 2020 election case involving former President Donald Trump and his allies if Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor previously in a romantic relationship with Willis, steps aside. The judge is a whimp…he’s up for reelection, and needs Fani’s endorsement. He and his wife both donated to Fani’s election to DA. That in itself is one conflict of interest. Fani’s issue is the exorbitant salary that Wade got, with no receipts or work receipts for his work on the case. They can’t explain how their vacations were paid for, everything is in cash except for Wade’s purchase of ship cruises. When she needed more money for her office, the county gave it to her. This was all in the court case we’ve been watching for weeks. This judge should have reopened this case so we could hear from more witnesses, and find out why Fani, Wade and another government official were meeting with Kamala Harris and others at the White House.

The issue is whether anyone is left with a whiff of ethics issues in Fani Willis's behaviour. Her reputation may be tainted in the eyes of anyone who witnessed either the probe into Fani's life by Judge McAfee, or the Georgia Senate Committee. If any one of the jurors selected has concerns, it could taint the jury pool. One would not want a hung jury as a result, would one?
