👋🏻 ABOUT ALEX and DEPIQD 👋🏻
Alex is a certified DaVinci Resolve trainer and video producer with a mission to simplify and reduce the learning curve of producing fantastic video content. Alex has been in filmmaking for over 14 years and, in 2016, set up his company, Depiqd (said Dee-PikT), which initially focused on traditional video production.

Now, whilst Depiqd still offers video production services to our clients today, the focus is on reaching and helping as many people as possible to get started using video and make the process of learning enjoyable, stress-free and efficient without it costing a fortune.

Whether you have personal or business-driven goals, video is so powerful and can reach people in many ways that other forms of media can. However, it can be laborious, complicated, and expensive, and it takes a long time to become proficient, so often, people give up far too soon.

If that sound's familiar, hopefully, the videos on this channel will help you. Please consider subscribing and turning on notifications, so you don't miss new videos as they get released.

I just bought a new workstation and am in the process of transferring everything. This has been the most clearest, to the point tutorial I've seen! thank you for this!

I'm going to say thank you because you have solved my problem. I literally just got off the phone with Davinci Resolve Studio support and the guy who talked to me told me that none of this was actually possible and that I was tethered to the system I started editing with. I told him I didn't think that was right and he assured me it was.

He told me that there must be a translation error because their company is Australian and not American. I'm like, don't they write/speak English in Australia?

He even told me that I could not use the cloud the way I wanted, which is what you just covered. This is my second and LAST time calling them. I'll just go to YouTube University for my questions moving forward. I really like Davinci Resolve Studio but their support is subpar.

Again, thank you for resolving my issue in less time than it took me to type all this.

Thank-you for a fantastic guide to this requirement, really well presented and a great explanation. I’m sending a .drp file, but I’m going to consider getting cloud for joint working!

This is a nice explanation, I’d love to see the video on how you deal with sharing media remotely though as that’s a real pain point for me! Hopefully you’re on with that 😊
Thank you for your help so far!

Nice video. Funny what you did with the outro -- leaving out the favorite. ;) :P

At work we have a NAS/Synology w/10gb connection that we store and edit from. If one were to want to work remotely then I would assume creating a project archive would allow that opportunity to do so by creating and storing that media onto your laptops hard drive. But, when you return to the office with edits made to the archived project, how would you toss it back to so to work from the server again? Thanks!!

Thank you for the fantastic explanation. I appreciate it if you answer this question: When I export the library, none of the transformations in the inspector tab, under the Video setting, transferred with the exported file. Is there any solution for that? Thank you
