Menendez brothers appear in court as judge weighs new evidence

For the first time since their trial in the 1990s, the Menendez brothers will appear before a judge, as their lawyer pushes for their convictions in the 1989 murders of their parents to be reexamined.

Their story is such a tragic one. To go through a childhood hell like that only to come out of it and be put away for life... I've always been sympathetic. Some people are biased against them or just don't know what it's like to be abused like that.

The only reason the new DA wants a part of this is to become relevant and famous himself. Can we just let these guys go .. prison is supposed to reform people - these guys pose no threat to society!! They should have been treated professionally, therapeutically all these years for the sexual abuse they suffered at the hands of their father from child hood instead of being thrown into jail, The horrific murders were a reaction, a symptom of sheer trauma and mental instability of their abused home. where both parents aided and abetted each other in the sexual, domestic and psychological abuse...of two little children .Resulting in perhaps a mental disorder, naturally ..It very sad to see the global justice system fail to treat molested victims/ but make them into the sole perpetrators
