Why are they not being charged with contempt of Congress immediately? If I had a subpoena and just didn't show up to court, the judge would issue a bench warrant on the spot. These people should be arrested and sit in jail until they are willing to comply like ANYBODY else would.

Why not? Send the Sergeant at Arms, and put em in jail. Yeah, I realize it's a misdemeanor, and only has a 1 year sentence, but put Bannon in jail. Probably be good for his health, and make the rest question whether a year of eating gruel is something they wanna do.

The best way to avoid any legal action in the U.S. is to become a politician - they're immune from prosecution. Maybe the party in power is afraid of retaliation down the line - not too many honest politicians out there...
