So basically the father doesn't punish the little ones for their bad behaviour. Instead he punishes Clarissa for her good behaviour. And then they wonder why they have problems...

Supernanny isn't disciplining the children she’s discipling the parents

9-year-old girl: "Daddy, I wanna go to summer camp!"
Cop Dad: "Oh, reeeally? Where were you on the night of the 22nd?"

Seeing the family dinner, I remembered why no one ever said anything at our dinner table
It's because whatever you said, can and will be held against you
Not one word was said until my father left the table, and if he came back, so would silence, which then made him think we were talking about him or keeping secrets from him
No dad, we're just talking about our days without the fear of being told off for it

Clarissa is not just the most well-behaved child, she's the most well-behaved person in the whole family.

My parents were like the father is to Clarissa, and it really hurts you in the end. You start contradict yourself and your self esteem in deciding things.

I respect Clarissa because she is well behaved. Her dad is mean and shouldn't have been like that to her anyway.

Adele sounded like Lois Griffin when she said “PEEETAH!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Clarissa is the good child but she harbors resentment because the twins monopolize the parents time and she doesn't get ANY of their affection/attention. It KINDA speaks volumes Mom, when you have BOTH twins in your lap snuggling with them on the couch and your poor daughter is over on the other couch all by herself.

Clarissa is so articulate and emotionally intelligent. I think that her dad’s anxiety and difficulty in trusting her are going to make her anxious and lack confidence. Jo was definitely correct when she said if the parents can’t trust their kids, then the kids won’t trust themselves. I hope the dad kept up with the changes he made. It would be interesting to know how things turned out.

It’s a KETCHUP packet its not that serious at all. Get over yourself dad 🙄. “You want ask us to go to camp but you drank ketchup when your were dared.” Make it make sense cause one has NOTHING to do with the other tf??

As hard as the dad was on Clarissa my heart absolutely melted when he told her she could go to the sleepover and gave her the bag. Her reaction was so sweet! I think Jo definitely helped him save their relationship before it got to the point of no return.

The dad feeling his 9 year old daughter is being deceptive about going to summer camp is horrible.

I think that Dad is selfish and unkind to Clarissa. It isn’t her fault because I think Clarissa is trusted but the dad won’t trust her. I think the dad to trust everyone in the family.

My heart breaks for Clarissa. Her dad is showing her how she deserves to be treated by men in the future. This dad is not parenting he is bullying all of them

"We're going to have lunch and then go outside. OK??" - You're asking Peter's permission for your decision? Tell him how it's going to be, "We're going to have lunch and then we can go outside. Now sit down and eat your lunch."

Parents expecting kids to take on parents job, responsibility, is why I chose not to have kids, by the time I reached adult hood, I was burned out by helping Mom raise My Brother.

I love Jo's expressions when she looks to camera. She is brilliant at her job.
