I do not think the 150-minute rule can be generalized to active athletes and senior citizens.
At 72, I find the key to fitness to be the ability to clock 90 minutes of walking, gymming, cycling, or swimming.
For me, unless I achieve and maintain 85% of the targeted heart rate (220- age), I feel sluggish and tend to slacken.

I beat my spouse regularly on weekends. It's been a great exercise in futility for both of us. 😅
