The reason is that people could take a joke in the 80’s, 90’s & 00’s. Now, there’s people sitting around, searching for things to be offended about. We’ve become a country with no sense of humor, everything funny hurts someone’s feelings.
If we could learn the difference between malice & humor, we might be able to watch TV without trying to get shows taken off the air because a joke rubbed you the wrong way. It’s never intentionally hurtful.

Remember when comedy was about laughing & not virtue signaling? I'm old enough to remember. Much better times.
It is far more healthy for the soul to laugh than to find offense.
Are people going to go back to a similar time and watch something like "Martin" and see that there's a serious lack of white inclusivity? Nope, because only large groups of "white" people are "offensive". Also, all of those "white" people are a mix of light skinned ethnicities. Time to break away from virtue signaling & start enjoying life again.

It was a different time. What’s offensive today was normal then. This is actually good, shows that the human conscience has grown but that does not mean going back and taking offence.
