After Palki left, I sort of didn't bother to watch the new Gravitas Plus episodes and left it lying in my Watch Later playlist.
Gave it a go and while it might take some time to get used to Priyanka as one of the new hosts, I must say that the content quality didn't disappoint as always.
Guess I will keep watching this series!

I got one or two pieces from LV and Gucci, after getting them, their value kind of dropped in my eyes. Earlier I used to find them aspirational, but after having them I didn’t find anything change about me or feel more successful in any way. Plus they are not so pretty. I find the handicraft bags made in the villages of India more beautiful. Plus nobody repeats anything these days, if you get into the dangerous habit of wearing a new thing everyday, you’ll want to get a luxury product very frequently and I have seen such things happen to people. They get obsessed with them and can’t wear anything outside of luxury brands simply because they think that luxury products are the best and they can use the item forever.

When you pay for Luxury, you actually pay for your Ego - not the product 😢🎉!!

I don't buy luxury products for the sake of wanting a designer name, but take shoes for example, I buy a quality shoe that costs at least 4 times more than a $ 30 - $ 40 shoe, but it lasts 8 to 10 times longer ! But you just have to remember that not all brands are that much better just because they cost more, so it is wise to choose carefully !

These brands are actually targetted not for the ultra rich but for upper middle class who are desperate to showoff and try to look rich...Those who are looking for quality and dont care about the brand value you can actually visit India and Bangladesh where all these luxury bags and clothing are made in white label manufacturing contract...you could save tons of dollars and get the premium quality from the similar manufacturers...the brands only do the design and marketing from europe...its all produced in Asian developing countries.

Eg. If you spend some time you'll get a pretty good pure leather bag, shoe, belts, breifcase and jacket in Dharavi Leather Market, Mumbai ...the same leather is exported and used in several high end brands!

I think we all have been quick to dismiss Wion as riding only on Palkis presence.
But I guess now it's safe to say that there is a standard format that Wion has. It's ultimately the team behind the scenes that matters.
Thanks for the consistency Wion.

I m happy with my 500-100 Rs bag . No show off no envy n lots of mental peace. I m against too much of consumerism . I can hv everything but still be unhappy.

The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies

The other day I was looking for a simple duffel bag just to carry day-to-day personal and work things. I checked online and at dept. retail stores, and unfortunately the material and quality of the bags felt cheap, unreliable and pricey (between $75-$200)...
I later stopped by at a local thrift shop and found a vast selection of great brands (Brooks, Swiss Gear, Adidas, etc) for the fraction of the cost ($10-25). There was even a Louis Vuitton handbag selling for $25 and shoppers didn't even bother to examine the bag. Unfortunately, Perceived Value (ie. Success, Social Status, etc) is what most people buy versus the Actual Value (ie. Functionality, Market demand/supplies, etc).

Also, this reporting segment did not include the part on which Private Luxury brands destroy any unsold merchandise so they can keep up the exorbitant prices....

Luxurious items are liabilities, I love investing assets rather than luxury goods 😊
Invest in yourself ❤🎉

Leather is made to last. It is seen as as luxury but leather for years was made to last so that you don’t have to buy a new jacket every year. I grew up wearing a leather jacket. For 10 years, I didn’t have to buy a new jacket. Which means I didn’t create more garbage. It was a true time capsule.

When I was young, in the 1970s, we used to go to school through winding roads, fields, forests etc.. to go to a simple school, where we were taught simple good values.
We have come a very long way. This generation is unlucky, and getting unluckier still, completing with each other for useless material things, and hoarding things they don't need.
Everyone wants "material perfection", over simple good values.
Sad.

Jeans are. They last longer and fit better. Dresses. Some high ends are wrinkle resistant. Jackets, regulate body temp better. Yes, some lux products are absolutely worth it. 👌

Thankfully I do not need any luxury item to feel better about myself. I will continue to enjoy this crazy wonderful life as simply as I can.

I think this is individual choice, for me, I am not a material person, “ Any cheap watch,

Nice video. But let me talk about something major, I see both young and old making mistakes they shouldn't be making, I think everyone, both young and old, should have an investment plan that increases their financial return by three to six figures, the investment can be your retirement plan or your investment plan, whichever you want, but what matters most is that you have a profitable investment

The simplicity and authenticity of priyanka Sharma’s beautiful sari is intrinsically worth a trillion times more than any Gucci, Dior, Cartier, Tiffany, Bvlgari or any other rip off luxury brands.
