Well Abraxas isn't so much as a demon but a God - it is the epitome of coincidencia oppositorum (unity of opposites). The two serpents are ying and yang. Whenever Carl Jung explained Abraxas, Jung uses various opposites - it is able to embody good and bad, creation and destruction...

Thank you for the great video. We hope you create longer videos for our enjoyment.

Abraxas isn't really a demon per se, and it's only referred to as such because back in the day christianity deemed all "pagan gods" as false deities and demonized them in order to be seen as the "one true religion" above everyone else, but Abraxas is originally meant to be a god of duality, neither good nor evil but both, and neither. And by the way, Christianity actually appropriated the word "daemon", which is of greek origin and simply means "deity", with no evil connotation.

Abraxas isn't a demon, if the Pleroma had a manifestation, Abraxas would be it. The essence of Good and Bad are contained within Him, the idea of an enantiodrama, a Union of Opposites.

I've always thought that God was both good and evil, maker and dweller of light and dark. This is an apt description of such a manifestation. Thanks for the video, it was very informate!

This stuff is real and not just symbolic myth. I'm a recovered "schizophrenic" that encountered an entity with a lion-like face and a serpentine body about 33 years ago. Yaldabaoth, Abraxas and the Demiurge may all be the same entity, just in different forms or entirely different beings. If Abraxas is the same as the Demiurge, then he is beneath the ultimate transcendent God. If aligning with Jung’s view, then he is above the ultimate transcendent God. I’m not sure which viewpoint is the most accurate, hence the duality.

I would consider Abraxas as an powerful entity that desires balance within his thresholds. Tipping the sheet on those sides that need correction until equilibrium is achieved. Making him capable of good and bad as to expect for a guardian that protects a state.

It is important to know that Abraxas was not worshipped like a traditional deity. He was mostly invoked to provide protection. This was done by wearing an amulet depicting Abraxas or his name

The qlippoth (evil) of the Cabalistic tree of death shows "the twin contending heads" where there should be one crown, Kether. So, duality is required for conflict and suffering. Abraxas is equivalent to Mara, lord of samsara from the Buddhist tradition. There is great wisdom in understanding this duality and unity as ways of perceiving this existence. 🤡🎈

I have some thoughts. First, most current religions, as you said, separate Abraxas into two persons, one positive, one negative. You don't touch on Abraxas' reaction to this. Does Abraxas remain unified or willingly split in two? Would this split not be painful, perhaps excruciatingly so, thus taking on the place of the suffering savior found in many religions?
Is this splitting of the "divine" into positive and negative the driving force for the creation of the list of "sins" held to by many religions?
In the Gnostic viewpoint would there not be only two sins, The failure to seek knowledge and the denial of knowledge once found?
Would not that second sin correspond with the "sin unto death" found in Christianity?

What confuses me is the similarity to the Demiurge Yaldabaoth. Are they one and the same, is Abraxas an Archon in service of the Demiurge, is it the Demiurges final form etc.

The more you consider this account of the Archons and Aeons, the more it looks like an alternative vision of the fallen angels, especially since the Hebrew God is considered to be fallen in this account. If there is a true god I would suspect that there are no other gods or demigods with Him.

If all this is true then when u realize it wouldn't suicide be the goal or eliminating all mankind so one one has to ever reincarnate or suffer again thats the issue i have with monistic metaphysics and the demiurge

It Is possible that Abraxas is another name, or the "real name" to the entity mentioned in the manuscript 'Codex Lugubrum' know as "Il Separatio" (The Separation)? Or is it just another being? Just asking...❤😅

For every insect and animal along with what is of nature their was a God Goddess or entity who walked at one time or another.Don't matter if humans believe in them or not.

I think Abraxas is supposed to represent magic or power and not really describing a God. Like the Grim Reaper, he's not worshipped the same way as other Roman gods but more appealed to or symbolic of the concept of powerful magic or influence.
