The Airbus A350 is a long-range, wide-body twin-engine airliner developed and produced by Airbus. The initial A350 design proposed in 2004, in response to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, would have been a development of the Airbus A330 with composite wings and new engines. Due to inadequate market support, Airbus switched in 2006 to a clean-sheet "XWB" (eXtra Wide Body) design, powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB high bypass turbofan engines. The prototype first flew on 14 June 2013 from Toulouse, France. Type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) was obtained in September 2014, followed by certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) two months later.

Finnair is my favorite European airline by far. I have flown their business class product from BCN to BKK with a transit in HEL for three years in a row and plan to do so again this year.

I agree! This seat might not be the fanciest in terms of motors and frills but comparing it to all other seats I usually fly with (Lufthansa Group ahem ahem) in the European market, it is super comfortable and you have so much space. Love Finnair!

As someone based in Helsinki I really enjoy flying our flag carrier, the business class is just the best! One thing though, bulkhead seats have slightly more leg space which I absolutely love, and I usually go for the bulkhead in the minicabin behind the L2 door

13 days until it's time for Japan via Finnair. Fingers crossed my upgrade to business class via points goes through. :D

On the layout with less business class seats, the toilets in the reear of the cabine are also used by premium economy and not specifically dedicated for business class.

Even from within EU flying out to as example Japan you won't need to go through security :) On the way back is where the security checks come in then when flying into Europe coming in via a non shengen flight.

Other than not being able to recline I truly enjoyed my flight from DFW to Helsinki in 2023. The flight attendants were super nice and the food was pretty good. I loved the blueberry juice as well. I flew Air France last year to Europe and my experience was not as pleasant as Finnair so probably going to go back to Finnair this year. 😊

I just got back from Singapore on Finnair in business class. It was a fabulous experience and great value. Only gripe was the amenity kit which was a bit thin but everything else was top class and the seat is great.

Another top vlog Dan! I'm definitely looking at booking with Finnair to BKK soon. The only thing that puts me off is you only get a complimentary seat reservation with their Business Flex ticket and there's no indication of how much a seat reservation will cost with the other fares, presumably until after you've booked the ticket. For that reason I think, at time of writing, SAS would be my choice.
