The hardest military offensive in the world is the one where your enemy knows you're coming, knows what you're bringing, and knows when you're going to be there. In fact such offensives are always disasters.

"Just a quick reminder, this is Russia, fighting within its own country" has to be the sickest burn I've heard in a long time. 😂 That cracked me up pretty good.

The international reputation and image of the country and the Russian army are dragged in the mud 8. Losses of the army are counted in hundreds of thousands 9, Sweden and Finland joined NATO, making the Baltic Sea a NATO lake 10.They have to rely on the north koreans. 11. Kursk is known as the historic tank graveyard of the ww2 German army. Kursk is now the modern tank graveyard for Russia. History repeats itself.

But we should not forget how hard the situation around Pokrowsk is for UA. It's very important to increase the help for Ukraine!

Sad to see the faces of those Russian soldiers. So young, and fighting for Putin's ego.

Imagine some other country deciding to invade Russia right now. Their army is getting grinded to dust in Ukraine - no way they could react and defend someone attacking.
And with China having some interest in a far eastern region of Russia that seems to be historically chinese...

Russias problem is its top down leadership. The high command orders some road to go down and send in the troops. the troops on the ground have no authority to change the plans and have to follow their orders to go down that road even if its a trap.

Independent thoughts are not encouraged in Russia.
Thinking for yourself can be dangerous.
Not thinking for yourself in a warzone can be fatal.

Putin thinking he will do better using the same strategy that failed a few weeks earlier is the literal definition of insanity

Putin did not learn from his own Russian history the battle of Kursk 1943 the layered defensive of the Red army against the Nazi Wehrmacht. The other lesson Putin's Russian army is not the Red army of WWII or it's generals like Georgy Zuhkov.

This is the first war that Russia has engaged in without Ukrainian forces. Maybe that tells you something.

This is the problem with centralised command decisions, it doesnt allow quick changes of tactics on the battlefield as situations change.

I don't approve of Putin invading Ukraine and admire the brave Ukrainian defenders, and sorry for those that died or were crippled, but also feel sorry for the hundreds of thousands of Russian soldiers dying, and their families. Putin has no respect for life.
