With that being said, let’s move on to the first step of adding XRay to Minecraft have - learn how to download XRay for Minecraft 1.20.4. There is a link in the description above to do this that will take you to our text guide on getting XRay. On this page, click the “Download XRay Ultimate” button to go to the official XRay Ultimate download page.

There, click on “Files” and find the most recent version of XRay Ultimate for 1.20.4. Click the three dots next to it, and click “Download File” XRay Ultimate will then begin downloading. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.

From there it is time to learn how to install the XRay texture pack in Minecraft 1.20.4. Start off by opening up Minecraft. Then, go to “Option”, “Resource Packs”, and click the “Resource Pack Folder” button to open the “resourcepacks” folder.

Now, all you need to do to add XRay to Minecraft 1.20.4 is drag-and-drop it into the resource packs folder. When you do this and come back to Minecraft, let you will see it on the left-hand side. Hover over it and click the arrow to the move it to the “Selected” section on the right. Click “Done”, and XRay 1.20.4 will be activated.

When you go in-game, you will see that XRay is active, but it is hard to see what is going on. Typcially, Optifine 1.20.4 is needed for the best results. However, Optifine hasn’t updated yet, so how do you see the ores and things you are XRaying? Well, you can use night vision.

This can be gotten via a night vision potion or by using the “/effect give USERNAME minecraft:night_vision” command. You can then clear night vision when you are done with it using the “/effect clear USERNAME” command.

When night vision is active, you will be able to see all ores, chests, etc. with ease while also being able to easily disable night vision with commands. Lastly, to disable XRay, go back to the “Resource Packs” menu, hover over it on the right-hand side, click the arrow, and click “Done”. Now, Minecraft 1.20.4 will reload without XRay.

Great concept but a real pain to use since you're essentially mining blindly so when you switch back to normal view you're in a mess of random tunnels trying to find your way out lol. I'm sure it has good uses but I doubt I would run this all the time.
