I read Assassins Blade first and it was a great way to get to know her and what she went thru before Dorian and Chaol go to get her.

I wasn’t going to read ACOTAR because it was one of those popular book series, and I was being stubborn, well when CC came out I thought it sounded good so I read it. Well with the way CC2 ended I was like, ok I guess I better read ACOTAR, and I LOVED it! I’m now reading ToG for the first time. I’m currently on book 2 and enjoying it so far!

I stalled on reading ToG for SO long because my brain could not handle not “knowing” the reading order. I finally figured it out lol and reading assassins blade after heir of fire but before queen of shadows was THE BEST. The end of Assassins Blade / beginning of Queen of Shadows was almost seamless.

I also tandem read Tower of dawn and Empire of storms and I’m so glad I did it was a great experience and really helped me get through this series I also listened to the audiobooks so that also helped they were amazing

Yes, for the only tandem read in TOG series it was amazing and it only took like 2 days! I listened to Assassin’s Blade 4th and it fit in well.

So I am a huge romance reader especially Scottish historical and paranormal romance. My kids told me to read Acotar first. This will be my first book in the series.

🗡️ I read all the series in the same order the first time, and although at the time ACOTAR was my favorite series and I felt like I didn’t enjoy TOG as much as I would have if I had read it first, it’s actually the series I think of the most. I read AB 3rd the first time, and during my current reread, I’m going to try 4th and see how that goes. ❤

I’m on one of the ones that advocates for The Assassin’s Blade to be read first lol but more so if you’re a rereader.

For a first time reader, I really like that reading order for Throne of Glass. 😊

Fated Mates podcast (4.22) interviewed SJM and during that she explains why there was shift in spice in her books. Overall it’s a really interesting interview and would recommend!

I read assassins blade after heir of fire and i dont reject that decision and right now im currently read Cresent city house of earth and bloodim about 381 pages in n im loving my reread of this series n i might reread throne of glass n try that tandem read

I started the ToG series and stopped after Heir of Fire. I need to pick it back up in the new year, but I think I’ll have to start all over because I can’t remember anything. 🤦🏼‍♀️
