I'm not sure about prices in the US but for Europe I think the Aqua-quest tarps really are the best for the money. They have an ultra-light, medium and heavy-duty line in all sizes, they are high quality and don't cost a lot.

Always good advice, i am just on the market for a tarp, being on a wheelchair now i wanted something i could park under or well in well out. i was looking to the Aqua Quest but it is a hundred dollar would you still recommend the Fee Soldier.

Also check out Harry's army surplus. He has 3 in 1 Woobie that Zips up. I received one that kind of reminds me of the Jungle Blanket that everyone's using now.

thanks for the budget tips. i knew free soldier had packs but didn't know about the tarps. whats the minimum diameter of jute twine you recommend for shelter building?

Are you still using jute twine, and have you used bank line... If so how do they compare?

I got out today and setup my aquaquest king camo10x7 tarp. First time I've ever run a ridge line and set up a tarp and guy lines, etc...can I use jute twine for a ridge line? Is it strong enough?
